Planets song

I made a poster with the text of the song written on it and I taught it to my students.

I brought some instruments and I asked them to sing it.

Before this activity I explained them some characteristics of this small planet.

Mercury is one of the smallest planets in our solar system.

It is also the nearest planet to the sun.
Because Mercury rotates exactly three times every two orbits around the Sun, and because Mercury's orbit is elliptical, a visitor to Mercury might see the Sun rise, stop in the sky, go back toward the rising horizon, stop again, and then set quickly over the other horizon
The temperature on this planet ranges from –315°F to 648°F:
Mercury spins very slowly. The side next to the sun gets very hot before it turns away from the sun. The other side freezes while away from the sun.
As the planet slowly spins, the frozen side then becomes burning hot and the hot side becomes freezing cold.

HERE IS THE TEXT OF THE SONG

Now!
I don't know, I don't know
I don't know why Mercury's /half freezing and half hot

                let me see now!

I don't know, I don't know
I don't know why Mercury's /half freezing and half hot

if you stay on Mercury
opposite the Sun it's burning hot
the other side is freezing cold
so tell me where I should stay!

tell me teacher, please!

I don't know, I don't know
I don't know why Mercury's /half freezing and half hot

now my teacher said to me
"Mercury spins slowly
and it orbits very fast
the day's 2 months
and its year  almost 3.

                let me say now

now I know, now I know
now I know why Mercury's /half freezing and half hot

        thank you teacher!!!!!!!!!!
