letter by the son to the mother (N.A., F.A., A.E.)

                                                                                                         February 2nd 1917

Dear Mum,

In your last letter you told me you were unhealthy, how are you now?
I’m making war and every day I think of you.
I’m very sorry because this moment I’m not close to you, but I’m happy because in a few days I will be back home.
Last week it was very cold here, but today it is sunny.

Soon , I will be back and I will hug you.

Life is very hard here and we have to gain our life.

See you soon,

George
